7 Best Pacifier for Breastfed Baby 2016

Is pacifier good for newborn?

There have always been debates about using baby pacifiers. Although they’re helpful in several circumstances, moms are afraid they could bring unfavorable results to babies. In fact, the use of pacifiers has the pro’s and the con’s. Let’s see first how good pacifiers are for newborns.

As implied by the name, they “pacify” fussy babies because sucking does give a soothing effect. For examples, a pacifier can help your baby fall asleep, ease discomforts, distract him or her during shots and reduce the risk of SIDS according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. For many moms, it’s a must-have! However, because sucking an artificial nipple is quite different from sucking at mom’s breast, using pacifiers can interfere with breastfeeding. As a solution, you should wait until your newborn latches on properly and breastfeeding is well-established before introducing a pacifier or at least 3-4 weeks. To ensure your baby’s safety, consult the following reviews to find the best pacifier for newborn!

  1. I can’t remember the name of the ones I have been using but they are not on this list and I have been considered changing. I think that there are much better options out there. I don’t try to use them regularly because I don’t want my baby getting hooked on them but I like to see that there is such a nice selection of healthy and better options available.

  2. Every baby is different, it is an expensive trial trying to find the compatible bottle and nipples for them. We ended up choosing Dr. Browns, they work best for our baby.
